An in-silico Evaluation of Some Schiff bases for Their Potency Against SARS-CoV-2 Main Protease, PASS Prediction and ADMET Studies

SARS-CoV-2 has created an agonizing pandemic situation all over the world. The inhibition of main protease (Mpro) by blockage viral replication is considered important drug target to many researchers working discover specific drugs for COVID-19 treatment. Schiff bases being documented possess antimicrobial properties might be investigated as candidate against COVID-19. Bioactivities some symmetrical bis-Schiff were evaluated using computational studies on basis binding affinity, PASS prediction and ADMET study. On it concluded that among eighteen tested ligands 2, 5, 8, 16, 17 showed excellent, 4, 6, 18 good remaining moderate Mpro (6LU7) compared a prescribed anti-Covid-19 drug, hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). revealed have anti-carcinogenic, anti-tuberculosis, antifungal, antiviral activities. study predicted them non-toxic harmless indicating may act promising treatment
